Cashback Policy
Cashback eligibility, tracking requirements, pending periods, approvals, and rejections.
Last updated: June 2, 2026 | Applies to: https://bumili.net
Purpose of This Policy
This Cashback Policy explains how Bumili cashback works, how tracking links are used, how cashback is calculated, when cashback may be approved, rejected or reversed, and what users can do with approved cashback.
This Policy forms part of our Terms of Service. By using cashback features, tracking links, merchant offers, wallet features or payout features, you agree to this Policy.
What Bumili Is
Bumili is a cashback and affiliate tracking service. We help users discover merchant offers, open merchant websites through tracking links, track eligible purchases, record cashback transactions, maintain wallet balances and, where available, request payouts from approved cashback.
Bumili is not the seller of products or services offered by third-party merchants. Purchases are made directly with the merchant and are subject to that merchant's own terms, prices, delivery rules, return rules, warranty rules and privacy policy.
What Cashback Is
Cashback is a reward that may be credited to your Bumili account after you make an eligible purchase through a Bumili tracking link and the merchant or affiliate network confirms the transaction and commission.
Cashback is not a discount at checkout unless clearly stated. In most cases, you pay the merchant directly, and cashback is recorded later in your Bumili account after tracking and partner confirmation.
Cashback is not guaranteed until the relevant merchant or affiliate network confirms that the purchase is eligible and the commission is approved.
What a Tracking Link Is
A tracking link is a special link generated by Bumili that redirects you to a merchant website. The tracking link helps identify that your visit or purchase came through Bumili.
When you generate or use a tracking link, Bumili may create a unique tracking identifier, such as a subId or similar reference. This identifier is designed to connect the merchant or affiliate network report back to your Bumili account.
The tracking identifier does not need to contain your name, email address, phone number or payment details. Where possible, we use an opaque technical identifier instead of directly identifying personal information.
Why Tracking Links Are Needed
Tracking links are needed to:
- connect your merchant visit with your Bumili account;
- help the merchant or affiliate network attribute the transaction to Bumili;
- receive transaction reports, status updates or webhook events from affiliate partners;
- create or update cashback transactions in your account;
- calculate pending, approved, rejected or paid cashback balances;
- detect duplicate, incorrect, fraudulent or abusive activity;
- support missing cashback investigations where possible.
What Tracking Data May Be Shared
To make cashback work, certain technical tracking data may be shared with merchants, affiliate networks or tracking partners. This may include a tracking identifier, merchant identifier, offer identifier, click time, referral source, transaction reference, order amount, currency, commission amount, cashback status or similar technical information.
We do not intentionally include your password, full payment card details, online banking credentials or full private account information in tracking links.
Merchants and affiliate networks may process their own data under their own terms and privacy policies. Bumili does not control third-party merchant websites or affiliate network systems.
How Tracking Data Is Stored
Bumili may store tracking link records, click records, affiliate event records, cashback transaction records, wallet ledger records, merchant information and related technical data for service operation, fraud prevention, accounting, support, reconciliation and legal compliance.
Tracking and cashback records may be kept even after a transaction is rejected or cancelled where needed for audit, fraud prevention, dispute handling, accounting or legal reasons.
Why Account Data Is Needed
Your account data is needed to identify your account, protect access, connect tracking links to you, show cashback history, manage wallet balances, process support requests, manage referral rewards and, where available, process payout requests.
Account data may include your email address, optional phone number, account status, consent records, tracking link history, cashback transaction history, wallet ledger records, payout request records, referral records, support messages and security logs.
We do not store full bank card details or online banking credentials. If payouts or payment-related features are handled by third-party providers, those providers may process payment data under their own terms and privacy notices.
How Cashback Is Received by Bumili
When you make an eligible purchase through a tracking link, the merchant or affiliate network may report the transaction to Bumili. This report may include information such as transaction status, order amount, commission amount, currency, merchant reference, transaction reference and tracking identifier.
Bumili may receive this information through affiliate network reports, webhooks, partner dashboards, manual reconciliation, API integrations or other partner-provided methods.
If the merchant or affiliate network does not confirm the transaction or commission, Bumili may not be able to approve cashback.
How Cashback Is Calculated
Cashback may be calculated as a percentage or fixed amount based on the commission, order amount, merchant rules, offer rules, category rules, country rules, product rules or other partner conditions.
In many cases, Bumili receives a commission from a merchant or affiliate network for an eligible transaction and shares part of that commission with the user as cashback.
The cashback amount shown to you may be based on our configured cashback rate, merchant commission, referral rules, currency, order amount and other applicable rules. Cashback amounts may be adjusted if the merchant or affiliate network later changes, rejects, cancels or reverses the commission.
How Cashback Is Distributed
When a transaction is reported, Bumili may create a cashback transaction in your account. Depending on the status, the cashback may appear as pending, approved, rejected, cancelled or paid.
If the transaction becomes approved, the cashback may be moved to your available balance. If referral rewards apply, part of the reward calculation may also be used to create referral rewards according to the referral program rules.
Bumili may retain a portion of the merchant or affiliate network commission to operate the Service, cover platform costs, fraud prevention, support, payment processing, development and other business costs.
Cashback Statuses
Cashback statuses may include:
- Pending: the transaction was recorded, but it has not yet been finally approved by the merchant or affiliate network.
- Approved: the transaction was confirmed as eligible and cashback may be added to your available balance.
- Rejected: the transaction was not eligible for cashback or was rejected by the merchant, affiliate network or Bumili review.
- Cancelled: the cashback was cancelled, for example due to a cancelled order, refund, duplicate record, fraud check or partner reversal.
- Paid: the approved cashback was included in a completed payout or otherwise marked as paid.
Status names may vary slightly inside the Service depending on feature development, but the general meaning remains the same.
Pending and Approval Periods
Cashback may remain pending while the merchant or affiliate network checks the transaction, waits for the return or cancellation period to pass, validates payment, confirms commission eligibility or performs fraud checks.
Approval times vary by merchant, affiliate network, product type, country, return period and partner rules. Some transactions may be approved quickly, while others may take weeks or months.
Pending cashback cannot be withdrawn.
Why Cashback May Not Track or May Disappear
Cashback may fail to track, may not appear, may be rejected, or may be reversed for many reasons, including:
- you were not logged into your Bumili account before using the tracking link;
- the purchase was not completed through a Bumili tracking link;
- the purchase was completed in a different browser, device, app or session;
- cookies were blocked, deleted or expired;
- an ad blocker, privacy extension, VPN, browser setting or security software blocked tracking;
- another affiliate link, cashback website, coupon website, browser extension or advertising source received attribution;
- an unauthorized coupon, voucher or discount code was used;
- the merchant excluded the product, category, user type, country, payment method or order type from cashback;
- the order was cancelled, returned, refunded, unpaid or partially refunded;
- the merchant or affiliate network reported the transaction as invalid, duplicate, fraudulent or non-commissionable;
- the transaction amount, commission amount or currency was changed by the merchant or affiliate network;
- there was a technical error on the merchant, affiliate network, browser, payment or tracking side;
- the purchase was made before clicking the tracking link or after the tracking session expired;
- the transaction breached merchant rules, affiliate network rules or Bumili rules.
Merchant and Affiliate Network Confirmation
Final cashback eligibility may depend on confirmation from the merchant or affiliate network. If the merchant or affiliate network rejects, cancels, reverses or does not pay the commission, the related cashback may also be rejected, cancelled, adjusted or reversed.
Bumili may show cashback information based on partner reports, but partner confirmation controls final eligibility where the transaction depends on third-party commission approval.
Missing Cashback
If a purchase does not appear in your account, you may contact support and provide information that helps us investigate. This may include merchant name, order date, order amount, currency, order confirmation, screenshots, tracking link, email confirmation or other relevant evidence.
We will review missing cashback requests where possible, but we cannot guarantee that missing cashback can be recovered. If the merchant or affiliate network cannot verify the transaction or commission, cashback may not be approved.
Missing cashback requests may be rejected if they are submitted too late, lack evidence, relate to an excluded merchant or product, use another attribution source, or cannot be verified by the merchant or affiliate network.
Returns, Refunds and Cancellations
If you cancel an order, return goods, receive a refund, fail to pay, charge back a payment, or otherwise make the order ineligible, the related cashback may be rejected, cancelled or reversed.
If only part of the order is returned or refunded, the cashback may be reduced or recalculated based on the final eligible order value confirmed by the merchant or affiliate network.
Wallet Balance and Use of Cashback
Approved cashback may be added to your available balance. Available balance may be used for payout requests where payout functionality is available and all payout conditions are met.
Pending cashback, rejected cashback, cancelled cashback, cashback under review and cashback linked to suspicious activity cannot be withdrawn.
Payouts may be subject to minimum payout amounts, supported payout methods, verification checks, fraud checks, processing times, payment provider rules and legal requirements.
Adjustments and Corrections
We may correct, adjust, reverse or cancel cashback, wallet entries, referral rewards or payout records if we detect incorrect data, duplicate transactions, partner reversals, calculation errors, technical errors, fraud, abuse or ineligible activity.
If cashback was paid out and is later reversed by a merchant or affiliate network, we may deduct the reversed amount from your future balance where permitted by law and applicable rules.
Referral Rewards and Cashback
Some cashback activity may also create referral rewards where the referral program applies. Referral rewards are separate from user cashback and may depend on approved cashback, referral eligibility, account status, fraud checks and program rules.
If the related cashback is rejected, cancelled, reversed or adjusted, the connected referral reward may also be rejected, cancelled, reversed or adjusted.
Fraud, Abuse and Prohibited Activity
We may review cashback, tracking, referral, wallet and payout activity to detect fraud, abuse, duplicate accounts, self-referrals, fake purchases, false claims, automated activity, suspicious patterns or violations of our Terms.
We may reject cashback, reverse rewards, suspend payout requests, restrict accounts or close accounts if we reasonably believe that activity is fraudulent, abusive, misleading, unlawful or contrary to this Policy, our Terms of Service, merchant rules or affiliate network rules.
Cashback Rates and Offer Changes
Cashback rates, merchant availability, offer availability, eligible categories, payout conditions, currencies and approval rules may change at any time. A rate shown on the Service may depend on merchant rules, affiliate network rules, location, category, product type, order type or other conditions.
If there is an error in a displayed cashback rate or offer, we may correct the error and calculate cashback based on the actual merchant or affiliate network confirmation.
Taxes
You are responsible for understanding and handling any taxes, declarations or reporting obligations that may apply to cashback, referral rewards or payouts in your country of residence or tax jurisdiction.
Bumili does not provide tax, financial or legal advice.
Service Availability
We aim to keep cashback tracking and wallet features available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Tracking may be affected by maintenance, third-party downtime, merchant website changes, affiliate network issues, browser restrictions or other technical factors.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cashback Policy from time to time, including when we change cashback features, merchant rules, affiliate partners, payout methods, fraud controls, tracking technology, legal requirements or business rules.
The updated version will be posted on the Service with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of cashback features after the updated Policy becomes effective means that you accept the updated Policy.
